Hanover Active Equity Funds (HAEF)
The Hanover Active Equity strategy invests in high potential public and private businesses where we can support operational, strategic or capital structure change to unlock value. Our focus is on both publicly listed and private assets headquartered in the UK and Northern Europe where we can invest in excess of £25m of equity.
The strategy has flexibility to pursue public-to-private, pure private or public minority transactions.
How we do it
Buy businesses of inherent quality.
Typically in the form of strong underlying market trends, competitive position and/or IP.
Focus on downside protection.
Capital preservation is the foundation of our underwriting. We typically do not use leverage and employ a highly disciplined approach to entry valuation.
A change-focused approach.
Our investment theses anchor around catalysing the changes required to realise latent value.
Flexibility of transaction types.
We are able to invest in public minority, public-to-private or pure private transactions.
Provide direct operational support.
Hanover’s strong bench of specialist in-house operating partners support change within portfolio businesses, minimising disruption for management and ensuring pace of change where required.
