Matthew Peacock
Founder and Chair of Investment Committee
Matthew Peacock founded Hanover Investors in 2002. Since then Matthew has led the firm and its investment decision-making and continues to also focus on portfolio company delivery. He currently sits on the Boards of Kalibrate, Brady and ZetaDisplay and Investment Committees across Hanover strategies.
Matthew set up each of Hanover’s investment search & analysis, execution and operational capabilities before handing them on to be run by other partners. He has led material operating change and acquisition strategies across both turnaround and growth, as well as public and private company businesses. He has led multiple public and private Boards as Chairman across industrial, media, technology, financial and outsourcing businesses in the UK and US with operations across the globe.
In his early career Matthew ran International M&A in London for Barclays BZW, having worked in NY and London for CSFB. Over the 1990s he led a series of successful private transactions as a lead shareholder and CEO.
Matthew has a Masters Degree in Law from Cambridge University.
David Cowan
Managing Partner
David leads private market deal sourcing for Hanover's Private Equity strategy. He currently serves on the board of eCOGRA.
David joined Hanover in 2023 following over 15 years in the private equity industry, the last 6 of which were at Levine Leichtman Capital Partners where he played a key role in building out their European business. David has executed investments and served on multiple boards across the UK, Benelux and Nordic markets. Prior to working in private equity, David was an investment banker with Rothschild & Co.
David holds a degree in Finance from Newcastle University and is a qualified Chartered Accountant.
Jeremy Westhead
CEO
Jeremy Westhead is the CEO of Hanover. He was previously Chief Business Officer having joined Hanover in September 2021.
Prior to joining Hanover in 2021, Jeremy was a CFO at various alternative asset fund managers for many years, including Horizon Capital, Lyceum Capital and Arlington Group Asset Management.
Jeremy holds an MA (Hons) degree in Classics from the University of Oxford and is a Fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales.
Giles Smyth
Partner | Investment Team
Giles leads public market deal sourcing for the Private Equity strategy and sits on the Investment Committee for the Hanover Catalyst Fund. He currently serves on the boards of eCOGRA, Escher and Kalibrate.
Giles joined Hanover in 2017 from McKinsey & Company where he was an Associate Partner in the Technology, Media & Telecom and Private Equity Practices. Giles started his career in the Strategy division of PriceWaterhouseCoopers.
Giles holds a degree in Politics & Philosophy from Durham University.
Ashkan Senobari
Partner | Investment Team
Ashkan is a part of the Private Equity and Public Equity investment teams and leads deal origination and execution in the Nordic region. He also sits on the board of ZetaDisplay and Lumi Gruppen.
Ashkan joined Hanover in 2018, from private equity fund EQT Partners in Stockholm where he was involved in mid market private equity buyouts. Ashkan started his career in the M&A division of J.P. Morgan in London. In 2025 Ashkan was promoted to Partner.
Ashkan holds a BSc in Business Administration, and a MSc in Finance, Hedge Funds & Private Equity from the International University of Monaco.
Michael Comish
Senior Partner | Value Creation Team
Michael focusses on Portfolio performance and value creation at Hanover having spent the last 20 years starting, scaling and selling businesses in Europe and the US.
Prior to joining Hanover in September 2020, Michael worked at TPG focussing primarily on technology businesses. Michael co-founded AirTV in Germany (acquired by Freenet) and blinkbox in the UK (acquired by Tesco) where he also served as Tesco’s Chief Digital officer, and was part of the founding team at AtomFilms in the US (acquired by Viacom). The early part of his career was spent in consulting where he was a Partner at Mercer Management Consulting.
Michael graduated from the University of Western Ontario and holds an MBA from INSEAD.
Albert Chu
Partner | Value Creation Team
Albert leads Hanover's Strategy & Operations team, which works closely with portfolio company executives to deliver value creation initiatives. He is also on the Board of eCOGRA.
Before joining Hanover in 2020, Albert spent fifteen years in management consulting and technology. He was previously on the executive team of PE-owned Masternaut, leading product management, strategy, marketing and data science. Prior to Masternaut, Albert was a Product Manager at Outpace Systems and a Project Leader at the Boston Consulting Group.
Albert has an MBA from Harvard Business School and a bachelor’s in engineering, summa cum laude, on a full scholarship from Duke University.
Alicia Barbara
CFO and MD of Funds
Alicia is Hanover’s Chief Financial Officer & Managing Director of Hanover Funds, overseeing financial and operational day-to-day activities.
Alicia joined Hanover in 2018 as Chief Financial Officer. Prior to Hanover Alicia worked at RSM Tenon in the United Kingdom and most recently as an Executive Director and Group Financial Controller at Liongate Capital Management Ltd, a Malta based Fund of Hedge Funds.
Alicia is a qualified Chartered Accountant with a Diploma in Financial Services Operations and Compliance.
Lukha Aggarwal
Senior Associate | Investment Team
Lukha is part of the Private Equity investment team.
Prior to joining Hanover in 2024 Lukha worked for 4 years as an Equity Analyst at Bank of America. He covered several industries including the buildings, construction and utilities sectors.
Lukha holds a B.A. in Economics from the University of Cambridge, St Catharine's College.
Fearghus Arnold
Manager | Investment Team
Fearghus is part of the Private Equity investment team.
Fearghus joined Hanover in 2024 from Aurelius Investments where he was a manager in their portfolio operations - working alongside senior leadership of portfolio companies in running strategic projects. Previously, he worked as a Senior Consultant at Simon-Kucher & Partners in London, specialising in strategy and pricing optimization, and at KPMG Advisory in Vancouver.
Fearghus holds an MBA with distinction from the University of Oxford (Saïd Business School) and an Honours Bachelor of Commerce and Economics from the University of British Columbia.
Robert Azzopardi
Financial Controller | Operations and IR
Robert is responsible for the Finance functions of Hanover Operating Management LLP, Hanover Investors Management LLP, as well as various other entities. He has also been appointed as an Internal Auditor for Hanover Investors Management (Malta) Limited.
Robert joined Hanover in 2025. He began his career at EY Malta, where he was seconded to EY offices in Milan, Cleveland, Bermuda, and Luxembourg. He has 15 years of experience in financial services, having worked with Liongate, a fund of hedge fund manager, Praude Asset Management, a UCITS/AIF fund manager and OANDA, a global CFD broker.
Robert is a Certified Public Accountant and holds a Bachelor of Accountancy (Hons.) from the University of Malta. He is a member of the Malta Institute of Accountants.
Jessica Banfield
Portfolio & Performance Manager | Investment Team
Jessica Banfield is a Portfolio Manager assisting in delivering data and analytics across Hanover Private Equity Portfolio.
Prior to joining Hanover in January 2024 Jessica worked for Lloyds Banking Group spending a year as a Portfolio Analyst at LDC, prior to this she worked in Senior Funding, Debt IR and Ratings for the bank.
Jessica is an ACA qualified Charted Accountant and studied Economics and Finance at the University of York.
Loria Boban
Executive Assistant
Loria is an Executive Assistant supporting Partners and Directors at Hanover.
Loria joined Hanover in 2025. Previously, she worked at The Guardian as an Executive Assistant/Team Assistant and at JamJar Investments as an Office Manager/Executive Assistant.
Loria graduated with First Class Honours in Music from University Of West London.
Rebecca Boscott
Head of Responsible Investment
Rebecca is Head of Responsible Investing, having previously held the positions of Chief Finance Officer, Chief Operating Officer and Head of Projects.
Rebecca joined Hanover in 2013. Prior to Hanover Rebecca co-founded Oxford & Cambridge Investment Management in 2000 and was Finance Director and Chief Operating Officer until 2007 when the business was transferred to Bank Insinger de Beaufort. She remained with the Dutch bank for two years heading operations for the OCIM business unit.
Rebecca is a fellow of the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England & Wales, and a member of the Institute of Directors, and the Chartered Institute for Securities & Investment.
Irina Camilleri
Funds Controller | Operations and IR
Irina focuses on day-to-day activities of several Hanover Funds in Private Equity and Credit strategies. She oversees funds' operations and manages relationships with Fund service providers.
Irina joined Hanover in 2017 and previously worked as a Senior Administrator at fund administration firm Abacus Financial Services (Malta) Ltd and has worked at two major banks in her home country of Russia.
Irina holds a degree in Banking and Finance (Honours) from University of Malta and is working towards the ACCA qualification. She is also a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants and the Malta Institute of Accountants.
Diane Cauchi
Financial Controller and Compliance Manager | Operations and IR
Diane is a financial controller, appointed MLRO and oversees the Compliance function for Hanover Investors Management (Malta) Limited.
Diane joined Hanover in 2017 and prior to that she was an accountant, an auditor and a general manager in different financial services companies in Malta. In her early career Diane was an auditor in E&Y.
Diane is ACCA qualified and is a fellow member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) and the Malta Institute of Accountants (MIA).
Costa Corbas
Procurement Director
Based in Italy, Costa is an expert in procurement & supply chain with over 30 years in the field, working and living worldwide. He has held operational, transformational and senior management roles at Pirelli, Ferrari, Sony and Desigual. Since 2018 his clients include the Hanover portfolio companies, focusing on procurement cost, contracts, risk management and operational transformation. He works both in a consultative capacity or as an interim in-situ, as the situation requires.
He has a degree in Chemistry from Kings College, London.
Guy Cornthwaite
Director | Investment Team
Guy is part of the Private Equity investment team.
Guy joined Hanover in 2021 from PwC’s Transaction Services team where he was a Manager in London, having originally come to the UK from New Zealand in 2020.
He qualified in Law and Commerce from the University of Canterbury, is a qualified Chartered Accountant and was a member of the New Zealand bar.
Brian Cullen
Portfolio Manager | Public Equity
Brian is Hanover catalyst Fund portfolio manager.
Brian joined Hanover in 2020 as portfolio manager. He spent the past ten years at SW Mitchell Capital, a London-based boutique equity fund manager. He was a partner at SWMC and ran their UK long-short fund for four years, as well as supporting the management of their pan-European long-short, small cap fund.
Brian graduated from the University of Cambridge in 2008 with a degree in History, and also holds an MSc in Economic History from the London School of Economics. He is also a CFA Charterholder.
Nick Greatorex
Non Executive Director | Value Creation Team
Nick is a Portfolio Company Chairman / Non-Executive Director.
Nick joined Hanover in 2019 and spent the majority of his career at Capita plc where he joined in 2006, progressing through several divisional leadership roles in finance and as Managing Director before being appointed Group CFO in 2015. In 2017 he also acted as Interim Group CEO for almost one year. Nick left Capita in 2018. Earlier in his career, Nick was Chief Financial Officer of Liberata plc and held senior Corporate Development roles at a number of organisations, including Centrica plc and Senior plc.
He qualified as a chartered accountant in 1992 at E&Y, where he spent 10 years working in the UK and US.
