Hanover Investors appoints Brett Lankester as Senior Partner
LONDON, UK - JANUARY 24, 2022
Hanover Investors is announcing today that it has appointed Brett Lankester, the former Chief Executive of UBP London, as a Senior Partner.
Mr Lankester is spearheading the development of the firm’s capital raising and investor relations capabilities. Along with Matthew Peacock, the Founder and Chairman of the specialist investor, and with other Senior Partners, he will also be involved in developing the strategic direction of the firm which operates in under-analysed and illiquid markets.
Mr Lankester is a senior figure in the sector; he was UBP’s London Chief Executive for three years following the Swiss private bank’s acquisition of ACPI Investment Managers, which he co-founded in 2007. Previously he spent 14 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a Managing Director.

The firm has achieved IRR’s in excess of 40% over the last two decades. Hanover Active Equity Fund II is now fully invested after the acquisition in December 2021 of eCOGRA, a leading independent and internationally approved testing and certification agency for the online gambling industry, for an undisclosed sum.
Mr Lankester is the latest senior strategic appointment. In the last year the firm has also appointed Jason Carley and John Woodard, both as Senior Partners, as well as Jeremy Westhead as Chief Business Officer.
