Hanover Investors - Home Page

Hanover is a specialist active investor in recovery and turnaround situations.

We invest primarily in:

  • Public market securities, typically equity.

  • New equity for leveraged buyouts and recapitalisations of public companies.

  • Private investment opportunities, typically distressed situations.

Hanover will expect to play an active role in each of these investments and will therefore seek positions of influence, usually with significant equity stakes. These investments will be operationally oriented, either with some fix required to the current operations and structure of the business, or pursuing a growth opportunity by consolidating the market place.

Hanover will work closely with the board and management teams for the duration of the investments and therefore the acquisition is only the beginning of our process. We are highly selective about our investments – since 2002, we have made 20 investments in the public and private markets. We look to invest £1m to £25m per transaction.

We invest in public companies through Hanover's managed Funds, and through Single Purpose Vehicles in special situations. Our investors are professionally-managed Family and Private Offices, 'Fund of Funds', Institutions and High Net Worth Individuals. Private investments are made through our Dauphin vehicle.

Hanover was founded in London in 2002, and is authorised and regulated by the UK Financial Services Authority.
