Matthew Peacock - Founding Partner
Matthew was a founding partner of Hanover. Prior to becoming a principal investor, Matthew ran the International M&A team in London for Barclays DeZoete Wedd in 1989, having previously worked in New York for Credit Suisse First Boston. During the 1990s, Matthew led a series of three successful LBO turnarounds, acting as CEO in each case, adding a 10 year experience base in company operations to his training as a lawyer and career as a senior banker. Matthew has since led investments, and served on the boards of companies, in the services, textiles, consulting, logistics and technology sectors. He has a Masters degree in Law from Cambridge University.

Simon Gilbert - Partner
Simon Gilbert leads deal execution and management. Simon joined Hanover following 6 years at Shell International, where he led major European M&A activity in the Downstream business, as well as running significant operational turnaround programmes. Prior to Shell, Simon completed an MBA and worked in institutional fund management and private equity investing. Simon is involved with sourcing new opportunities and executing these deals, as well as working closely with some of the portfolio businesses, including holding Board positions. Simon holds a BA (Hons) degree in Economics & Spanish from Bristol University.

Tom Russell - Partner
Tom Russell leads investment analysis and research. Tom joined Hanover after 9 years with Mercer Management Consulting, where he specialised in the Communications, Information and Entertainment sector, advising on strategy and operations. Tom holds a MA (Hons) degree in English Literature from Corpus Christi College, Oxford University.

Vasa Babic - Advisor
Vasa joined us from Vodafone plc where, as Group Director of Business Integration, he led major global programmes of organisational change and operational restructuring. Prior to that, he was a strategy consultant for 15 years in the London office of Mercer Management Consulting. At 29, he was the youngest senior Partner in the firm worldwide, and worked in a broad range of sectors with a focus, in later years, on the Telecoms, Internet, Media and Technology industries. Vasa has an MA (hons) in Economics from King's College, Cambridge.

Kasia Robinski - Advisor
Kasia started her career in investment banking, at Goldman, CSFB and Samuel Montagu. She has over 15 years experience in private equity in the US, UK and Europe, leading investments in European developed and emerging markets. Since 2003, Kasia has been a partner of Prospect Investment Management based in London. She has an MBA from Stanford, and an MA in Economics/Engineering from Cambridge University.

Susan Fleming Cabrera
Susan Cabrera started her career at Morgan Stanley and then became a Partner at Capital Z until 2004 (a 1.85bn private equity fund focused on financial services and insurance). She has significant experience as a private equity investor and investment banker, and a broad perspective attained through past and present membership on five boards of directors including current membership of the Board of Directors of Quanta Capital Holdings, Ltd., a publicly-traded insurance company. She is an active consultant to the insurance industry and, having retired from Wall Street in 2004, now trains executives in the application of analytical tools in complex corporate transactions whilst pursuing a PhD in Management at Cornell University's Johnson Graduate School of Management.

Rod Powell
Rod Powell headed Group Development at Invensys PLC, a major U.K. quoted industrial conglomerate. Prior to this he was chief executive of the Control Systems division of Invensys which, with $3.5bn of sales, was the group’s largest and most profitable division. Prior to joining Invensys, Rod held senior management positions at ICL and Texas Instruments largest and most profitable division.

David Steel
David Steel is a Chartered Accountant. He spent 20 years of his career with Deloittes in the UK and then Geneva where in 1983 he became Partner-in-charge of the Geneva office. He is now a partner with Pennone & Partners SA in Geneva into which, following two mergers, he integrated the practice he built up over 13 years at Metropolitan Fiduciare SA. He graduated as a Bachelor of Laws from St. Andrews University in Scotland.
